Naomi, my cousin, married David Adelman on May 20, 2017, in Aix-en-Provence. She asked me to take photographs of the ceremony. I accepted, although it was going to be the first time I did wedding photography. Hopefully there was also another photographer, which was great because it gave me the freedom to stick to my usual style of photography, using black and white film, without ruining the bride's expectations, which more than probably included colour pictures.
I shot 6 rolls of 35mm film before, during, and after the wedding. I processed the film, and out of the contact sheets, I selected images that documented the wedding, but more importantly images that conveyed emotions. I compiled those images in a 44-page book, which comes without any captions, hoping the images will speak for themselves.
This book is self-published using the Blurb platform, which handles the printing on high-end paper, as well as the shipping.
I hope you will enjoy reading this book as much as I enjoyed making it.
