I am just back from Les Rencontres d'Arles, a photography exhibition that takes place in Arles every summer, July to August. It was my first time here. We went through a lot of exhibitions over the day; some were really good, with very interesting topics covered, like war, illegal abortion, transexuals, USSR military facilities, agrotoxins, and lots of other.
There is a lot to see, for a very affordable price. One of the exhibition I was enthusiast about was the Don McCullin one, and it proved to be even better than I expected. His pictures from the fifties and the sixties are truly masterpieces. I also love the style of these pictures, with heavy grain and prominent dark tones.
